Better GCODE Thumbnail Previews#88

“My G-code includes the first line, which I would like not to see in the thumbnail. Is there anything else I can do to avoid that?”

It is possible to manually take the thumbnail image by selecting the file in question, then in the preview, move the camera angle to the desired location using your mouse to drag around the preview. Once it looks like what you want hit the camera icon and a new thumbnail will be added.

That is something I do at the beginning, but it gets annoying after a while. There are some steps that would be nicer if the software would automatically correct them. I am looking forward to seeing some improvements in the G-code viewer, especially to see that you add shadows. That would be great.

STL files look great; if we could see the same in G-code, that would be nice.

I’ve taken the liberty to rename this “Better GCODE Thumbnail Previews”, so we can let the suggestion stay up :)
