Add "Combo" (AMS) Model Variants for Chitu PlateCycler Printers (A1 / A1 Mini)#878

3

When setting up an A1 or A1 Mini equipped with a Chitu PlateCycler, the printer presets currently only reflect the standalone machine configurations.

While the missing “Combo” label doesn’t strictly block sending multi-color or AMS jobs, lacking a dedicated “A1 Mini Combo (PlateCycler)” or “A1 Combo (PlateCycler)” model variant removes an important visual image cue across the printers screen.

Operators can then immediately distinguish which PlateCycler setups have an AMS connected versus single-spool setups.

Serves as a quick visual sanity check when assigning jobs from the queue to ensure multi-material or AMS-mapped files are routed to the right physical station.

Consistency: Aligns PlateCycler profiles with the standard Bambu Lab printer list in SimplyPrint, where “Combo” and standalone versions are clearly distinguished.

Until further notice, we have decided to not add “Combo” versions for AutoPrint models: it’s not always possible to find a good picture with an AMS, and with the different AMS methods, chaining options etc., and the fact that we have to maintain 2 printer model instances, we’ve called it on the “Combo” versions of non-original printers (mods and unofficial releases). We may revise, and I fully get the “quick visual sanity check” being nice. We’ll keep this open, but just wanted to be transparent on our thinking.
