Feature Request: Automated Filament Usage Deduction via bambu Cloud Print Telemetry#848

I am reaching out to suggest an enhancement to the filament management workflow that would make SimplyPrint significantly more practical for day-to-day operations.

Currently, via Home Assistant (even through standard cloud connection, without LAN mode), the total material used per completed print is readily reported. Since SimplyPrint already detects completed print jobs, it should be able to leverage this data to automate filament tracking:

Single-material prints: When a print completes using a single spool/filament slot, SimplyPrint should automatically deduct the total reported weight/length directly from the active spool.

Multi-material prints: If the system detects multiple materials were used, it can prompt a post-print confirmation asking the user to specify or allocate the breakdown of the total usage across the loaded filaments.

Automating this would remove tedious manual logging and ensure filament inventory stays accurate effortlessly.

Whether this fits into the general tier or the advanced filament management plan, having this seamless sync is a core deciding factor for me regarding subscribing, as it directly impacts workflow efficiency.

Hi there :) if you start prints via SimplyPrint filament is deducted automatically. At the moment our stance is that we do not wish to spend time tying in telemetry from other platforms, as the list would never end: you get the most and the best data if you print via SimplyPrint, and that is what we recommend and try to make as easy as possible.

We also cannot fetch anything from the Bambu Cloud: that would be against their terms of service.
