Would be great!@

Care to elaborate on this one? What does “Alibre interface” mean? “Alibre” seems to be 3D CAD software (haven’t heard of this before!). Is the suggestion to try and make an integration like the ones we have for Fusion, Blender, SolidWorks, SketchUp, etc.? https://simplyprint.io/integrations/category/third-party

Oh, yeah Alibre CAD is great. It’s not free, but it is excellent software, and probably the only ‘good’ 3D CAD software you can still buy once for a (reasonable) fixed price, and use it forever. I have had nothing but good experiences dealing with the company.
IMO it’s very reasonably priced: you can buy even their most expensive, professional grade CAD software and use it forever for less than 3 years of renting Fusion360, and less than even a single year of the “cheap” version of SolidWorks. We should support more companies like this while they still exist.
It’s my CAD package of choice, so for what it’s worth, I, too, think it would be cool to be able to print directly from Alibre, but I really don’t mind the [CAD >> export-to-STL >> Slicer >> Printer] pipeline, because I feel like I’m still learning a lot about 3D printing from tweaking slicer settings. Someday maybe that will get old. :)
