Allowing Klipper cameras to stream locally on the same network would significantly reduce video latency and minimize data egress from simplyprint. This feature would create a more real-time viewing experience by bypassing SimplyPrint鈥檚 servers for the video feed when a user is on the local network.
Key Features and Benefits
The primary advantage is a near-instantaneous camera stream 鈴憋笍, providing a better view of the print in progress. This would also reduce data egress from SimplyPrint, as the video stream would no longer be routed through our servers when the user is local to the device.
A status indicator 馃煝 at the top of the stream could show the simplyprint connection of the camera stream to the machine learning (ML) service. Clicking this indicator could provide a preview of what the ML service is seeing, offering insight into its real-time analysis of the print. This local streaming solution would activate similar to the redirection button used by Mainsail when a user is already on the local network.
