TP-Link smart plugs and power boards are one of the most popular on the market as they’re so cheap and simple and do have API support. I used to use them natively with OctoPrint quite a lot
Would be nice if SimplyPrint could integrate them to be able to control power under certain events. Such as when a print is finished it could
… turn power on for a fan pointed at the build plate in order to cool it down faster
… turn power off to the printer when it has no queued jobs for X minutes
As well as safety runaway events such as a hotend or heated bed reading high/low for a certain period of time
Having the ability to assign a plug to a printer as its main source of power could be handy to i.e. turn it on/off directly from within SimplyPrint. However it would be ideal if tags could be assigned to plugs and then run actions based on a tag. So i.e. ‘row2’ could all be turned off at the same time
