Auto Print on Manually Cleared Printers#383

Right now, AutoPrint is only available when using Continuous Mode — which works great for constant batches — but it would be really helpful to also support auto-starting queued prints after a manual bed clear, without requiring Continuous Mode.

🎯 Use Case:

  • Our team pre-loads file queues via API when orders come in (especially after-hours).
  • In the morning, staff manually clear beds and mark printers as “Ready.”
  • Ideally, the next job in the queue would auto-start once the printer is manually marked as ready, without requiring another click or manual job selection.
  • This would save time and reduce friction while keeping manual bed clears in place.

✅ Suggested Behavior:

  • New toggle setting in SimplyPrint UI:
Auto-start next queued print when printer is manually marked "idle & ready"
  • If enabled, once a printer is marked as “idle & ready” (from “Awaiting bed clear”), the next compatible queued job is automatically started using existing logic for matching filament and printer.
  • This maintains manual control of the bed clear while bringing the benefit of automation once the printer is prepped and confirmed to be cleared then after hours the printer can accept a file if it matches the print requirements.

🧠 This would be a middle-ground between full automation and manual management, ideal for small teams who want overnight queuing but manual oversight of each cycle.

Thanks for considering it! This could be a big efficiency boost for hybrid workflows.
