Currently SP does not map nozzle size set in the printer and shows default 0.4mm. I often swap nozzles between 0.4 and 0.6, so it would be nice if it should map the correct nozzle size set in the printer/Bambu Studio/Orca. Without this feature, it could be disaster for sending a g-code with a with a wrong nozzle size while printer is fitted with different nozzle size.
It could apply to more printers than just Bambu, so I edited the title a bit.
Does the Bambu printers themselves know which nozzle size they have? (can’t remember and don’t have a Bambu nearby at the moment).
I believe the newer Prusa printers (MK4, MK3.9, MK3.5, Mini & XL) may also know what nozzle size they currently use.
If they do, they can tell us the nozzle size and we can sync it like we do material info.
Sure, it would be good idea to generalise it.
Bambu printers themselves know when we define (it’s required to define under printer parts) which nozzle is fitted either from printer screen/Bambu handy/BL studio /Orca. Once it’s defined via either means, it will sync the nozzle size across all platforms and will not allow you to print gcode that sliced with wrong mismatch nozzle size.
