It’d be great to have the ability to tag multiple items at once. Included with that bulk tagging functionality would be the ability to create, update, and delete tags. Bulk tagging would be available for both printers and files - saving a TON of time having to tag multiple items (especially files).
The underlying backend tagging framework now, after a rework, supports multi-tagging. Now working on the UI for it!
Would peoeple prefer to always add on top of existing tags, or always override existing tags, when tagging multiple items (files, printers, queue items)?
Yes and yes!
Bulk tagging for files in the file system is going live today.
Coming soon for the printers page as well.
We’ve had to do a bigger rework of our tables system to properly be able to add bulk tagging to the print queue - but we’re working on it (and the print queue table will be much nicer too! ;) )
How do you use the bulk tagging feature? I don’t see it documented. Does it require an active Print Farm subscription? https://help.simplyprint.io/en/article/all-about-the-tags-feature-mwvsst/
@Todd Anglin bulk tagging is live for the file system and the print queue. If you select multiple files, it’ll show the “Bulk-tagging” button. This feature indeed requires the print farm plan.
